| Thanks for the eProps Forsberg21!!! As you can see, it's been another L-O-N-G while since I've posted.
What I have decided to do instead of bligging online ANYwhere (Xanga or LiveJournal) is to try my hand at publishing a 'zine. I used to do that for years, but didn't realize that's what I was doing and that there are a whole BUNCH of other 'ziners out there!!!!
I don't have my first "official" 'zine ready yet, as I am coming up on a VERY busy season--High Holy Days, the beginning of Hebrew School, plus my job of tutoring students and organizing the Cantor....
Anyway, as much as I have enjoyed blogging on Xanga from time to time, I think I will enjoy publishng my own 'zine even more, especially as it isn't new to me--I just didn't know other people did it, too!!!
In any case, I first have to resolve some serious health issues, get the house improvement projects underway, and THEN I can get back to life. Well, after a vacation in October and NaNoWriMo again in November....OY! Does it ever end???
| It's been a long time since I've blogged. Partly this has been due to feeling really fatigued for the past month with a new medicine I was on. Last night I cut the amount in half, and today I feel SO much better already.
But honestly, the other, and larger, part of it is that I am tired of blogging, tired of Xanga's lack of support for Mac users, and I guess blogging just isn't where I am going to get a sense of community.
I know LiveJournal has more of a community sense to it, (and a LOT more support for Mac users!) and I have a LiveJournal code so that I could easily start blogging there, but, honestly, I think I'm just tired of blogging. Keeping my journal and writing morning pages are very different from this blog business. And while blogging is fun, it also seems like an incredible waste of time.
I don't know. The jury is still out.
I DO enjoy writing short little editorial memoirs, and I DO enjoy "illustrating" them with clip art, so, maybe.......

| Since I blogged about the Deer park just a bit yesterday, I thought I would share two pics from there. The first is Shea feeding a DEER and the second is Shea feeding a DEAR!!!!
Oh, the fun we had!!!!

| The other week we took a one-day vacation up to the Dells. The first place we stopped was a Deer park, where the deer were so tame that they came right up looking for food.
But the animals that fascinated me the most were the ring-tailed lemurs. I had never heard of these animals before, much less seen them. Then, suddenly, they decided to sun themselves. Ever seen a ring-tailed lemur sun itself? It's quite hilarious! When they decide to take in a little sun, they sit down with crossed legs, outstretched arms, and upturned palms making them look like little alien gurus. Yoda striking a meditative pose. I could almost hear the angels singing.

| In search of a quiet restaurant....
When the heck did restaurants become so dang noisy???? Sometimes, all I want is a nice quiet place where I can get good food, plenty of cold water, a comfortable seat, a/c in the hot summer, and QUIET. Yet nearly every restaurant I can think of is so noisy it’s unbelievable!!!
Is anyone else having a problem with noise pollution in restaurants?
Some restaurants seem to pride themselves on their noise level. A couple of the newest ones in town have a TV within view of EVERY seat. Why, one even has THREE TVs within view of EVERY seat!!! If I wanted to watch TV, I would have stayed at home! In the 50's and 60's, wasn't that referred to as the TV DINNER??
I don’t know about anyone else, but going out to eat, for me, is not about going out to be entertained by loud music or distracting TVs. For me, it’s about eating good food and being able to have an actual CONVERSATION with my dining companion(s). Gee, what a concept!
